Black Beauty Eggplant

Black Beauty Eggplant is an heirloom, open-pollinated eggplant variety that dates back to the early 1900s. This is the most popular eggplant variety grown by home gardeners across the country. Black Beauty Eggplant is easy to grow and will continue to produce as temperatures warm in the summer months. Plants produce bell-shaped fruits that average 5-6" long. This is a great variety for slicing and making eggplant parmesan. We also like to slice them into fries and bake them for a healthy alternative to potatoes.
