This variety is noted for its remarkable flavor that has a hint of smokiness with a meaty texture. Fruits have a beautiful contrast with a dark-maroon body and dark green shoulders. Fruits will become darker as they are exposed to more sunlight later in the growing season. Black Krim Tomato is an indeterminate, medium-sized, beefsteak variety that will continue producing throughout the entire warm growing season. This is a great slicing variety for hamburgers, wraps and tomato sandwiches. It also is a great tomato for caprese salads with fresh mozzarella and basil leaves.
