Burgess Buttercup Squash

Burgess Buttercup Squash is an heirloom, open-pollinated winter squash variety known for its creamy texture and sweet flavor. This a C. maxima variety with fruits that will store for several months when kept in a cool, shaded location. Burgess Buttercup Squash has vigorous plants that produce vines up to 6' long. Plants average 4-6 fruits per plant. Fruits have a dark-green exterior with a button on the end, much like our Turks Turban Gourd. Fruits average 5-8" in diameter and can weigh up to 5 lbs each. In addition to being very tasty, these winter squash are very nutritious and rich in Vitamins A, B, and C.
